Multiplier’s intrinsically safe batteries are designed to protect against sparking which could ignite flammable gasses or materials and trigger a flash fire. The most common users are government agencies, fire departments, oil refineries, mining, natural gas companies or any industry that uses an intrinsically safe radio and battery in an area that omits volatile gases or flammable airborne dust. All Multiplier intrinsically safe batteries are approved by the Factory Mutual Corporation (FM) and are identifiable by a Green FM approved label affixed to the battery that includes the classification rating and the OEM battery part number. (On Motorola models, a small Green dot is affixed on the battery housing.) Multiplier offers a wide selection of FM approved intrinsically safe batteries for various M/A-COM/Ericsson and Motorola radio models. |
